RGC Presents Tim and Myles Thompson, in Concert, 4/3/13

Rochester Guitar Club welcomes the Nashville based father-son duo, Tim and Myles Thompson for a concert in The Red Room at 1010 East Ave, Rochester NY, on Wednesday April 3rd at 7:30. This will be our first concert this season and we are looking forward to this house-concert style evening in the plush surroundings of this beautiful building.

Tim and Myles Thompson are a Nashville based award-winning Americana-jazz duo featuring acoustic guitar, violin, mandolin, and vocals to entertain music lovers of all ages. This father-son act presents firy instrumental and vocal duets, inspired by legendary artists like Stephane Grappelli, Chick Corea, Chet Atkins and Jackson Browne, all distilled into a one-of-a-kind blend of improvisational jazz, traditional folk, singer-songwriter, country, rock and world music. The best way to explain about them is with a song.

Among a long list of career highlights, guitarist Tim Thompson has won the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship at Winfield, Kansas. Also, he has been featured in Guitar Player Magazine, Just Jazz Guitar Magazine, and Taylor Guitar’s Wood and Steel Magazine.
