Ken Luk

Ken Luk was born and raised in Hong Kong. Ken studied classical guitar with Dr. Nicholas Goluses and recently finished his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Eastman School of Music. Prior to his doctoral studies, Ken earned a Master of Arts degree in Music Theory Pedagogy at Eastman and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business (finance) at Indiana University Bloomington. Apart from the classical guitar repertoire, Ken has strong interests in and actively performs music from Brazil, Indonesia, Jamaica and Zimbabwe. Besides teaching guitar to students of all ages in the Rochester, N.Y. area, Ken teaches at State University of New York in Fredonia, SUNY Geneseo, and the Eastman Community Music School.
